Why do I have to print my ticket?
Currently, bus companies only accept printed tickets; you need to carry the ticket with you during the bus ride.
Why can I not buy a ticket for some routes?
Although we are constantly expanding our offer and improving the ease of use for both travellers and bus companies, not all bus companies are currently interested in selling their tickets online.
Is it safe to buy a ticket on getbybus.com?
Safety of the buying process is something we take very seriously; the merchants we work with for processing payment are experienced and known for their high security standards.
Can I re-book my ticket?
Yes you may rebook your ticket up to 24 hours before the departure time stated on your original ticket; to rebook you ticket please read our re booking policy and Instructions here.
Can I cancel my bus ticket before travel?
Yes, you can cancel your ticket up to 48 hours before the departure time stated on the purchased ticket, for refund we charge a service fee of 20% (MAX. 100 Kn) per ticket.
Are there any online booking fees?
There is a minimum booking fee of 5 HRK and a maximum of 25 HRK for each passenger. Any purchases made in other currencies will have the equivalent amount charged in the respective currency.
Are there any other fees I have to pay?
At the larger bus stations you might have to pay a bus station fee; prices vary but it is usually around 5-10 Kuna (0.65-1.30 Euro). If you are carrying luggage for the hold, you will have to pay a fee to the bus driver, for a regular suitcase on a national bus line the price is about 5-10 Kuna (0.65-1.30 Euro).
Why are the amounts in Croatian Kuna HRK?
For selling bus tickets in Croatia, it is required by law that we sell tickets from Croatian bus companies in Kuna. If you hover over the price you will see the adequate amount displayed in other currencies.
Is it cheaper to buy tickets on GetByBus.com?
In most cases ticket prices are the same as at the bus station; however, from time to time we have exclusive offers for getbybus.com customers.
What do I do if my bus is cancelled?
If your bus is cancelled, we will contact you with further instructions on the E-mail you provided as you created an account on getbybus.com, so please make sure that you enter a correct E-mail address.
What if the bus line is cancelled or rescheduled by the bus company?
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information on this site is as accurate as possible,GetByBus.com as the Mediator is in no way liable to its customers for possible delays or bus departure cancellations of particular Carriers. You can contact us via email and we will provide you with instructions of alternative bus lines.
Can I reserve a seat at the bus?
Currently not possible, but we are working on that.
Can I bring my pet on the bus?
Generally, the answer is no. If a specific carrier allows you to bring a pet on the bus, you will see a PET icon next to the bus company name.
Can I bring my bicycle on the bus?
NO, at least not in the main season, July and August, in other months it is under certain circumstances possible to bring a bike, for this you have to contact us at least 48 hours prior to bus departure, we will then clarify whether it is possible to bring a bike and under which conditions.
